JOB TITLE: Sr. Associate, HR Specialist -Benefit Admin. & Engagement
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
REPORTS TO: AVP, Human Resources
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SUMMARY:
The Sr. Associate, Human Resources Specialist- Benefit Administration and Engagement leads or participates in processes within the department as it relates to all aspects of benefit administration, wellness and engagement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead day-to-day benefit administration processes which includes management of employee qualifying events, responding to employee questions and requests, processing and reconciliation of all benefit related invoices, and vendor management
* Prepare all ACA, Workman Comp claims, FAS, OSHA reporting and PCORI payments
* Assist with Open Enrollment to include planning meetings, report creation, communications/presentations, reconciliation/review of carrier connection files, coordination of benefit payroll deductions, funding and retiree plan communications
* Provide quarterly benefit related metrics for executive meetings
* Manage all employee leaves to include STD, LTD, PFL, FMLA and Personal Leave
* Maintain vendor and carrier relationships ensuring expected service level agreements
* Provide Finance with benefit related reports (Monthly/Annual)
* Prepare benefit termination letters
* Manage employment law postings
* Assist with 401k audits and verify 401k files for accuracy
* Manage employee educational assistance program
* Serve as department lead on initiatives to increase wellness, culture, and engagement; create communications and events
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
* BA/BS in Human Resources or equivalent experience
* 2 years' related HR experience, specifically in Benefit Administration required
* MS Office (to include Excel & PowerPoint) proficiency is required
* 2 years' experience working in HRIS systems required
* Previous experience in event planning (wellness, volunteer, social, etc.) required
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
* Understanding of benefit and leave related laws
* Strong project management experience, requiring the management of competing priorities to multiple stakeholders
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion a must
