A vacancy exists in the Office of Budget and Finance, Accounting Division. Under general supervision, performs comprehensive professional accounting work in the Office of Budget and Finance.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, or a closely related field.

Two years' professional experience in accounting or auditing and possession of a license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
(Education in accounting beyond a bachelor’s degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.)
Licenses and CertificatesPossession of a license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) issued by the Maryland State Board of Accountancy is required within six months of appointment.

EXAMINATION PROCEDUREApplicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application, which includes answers to the supplemental questions. Applicants must state the dates and duties of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes.
