Bally's Corporation is Hiring a Manager - Restaurant Near Dover, DE

MAJOR FOCUS:

Manages the activities and functions of assigned food outlets. Responsible for managing the budget, staffing, liquor cost, food cost, recycling program, as well the major focus of our Customer Express and Sterling Customer Service Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures delivery of quality service and price value.
  • Major focus of company’s key customer service measures of Courtesy, Efficiency, Safety, and Wow Experience.
  • Oversees the daily operations of assigned restaurants, including the budget and staffing.
  • Monitors the operations to ensure compliance with all established standards and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepares financial reports, and utilizes and applies the information in a timely and practical manner to improve the operation, to include forecasting expenses and revenue.
  • Maximizes cost effectiveness within the venue by ensuring compliance with established budget, labor, and revenue benchmarks.
  • Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
  • Ensures that food services delivery is consistent with the department’s mission and business strategy.
  • Ensures prompt and courteous service to guests.
  • Monitors restaurant employees to ensure they provide service in accordance with established standards, and takes action to correct deficiencies.
  • Develops the talents and skills of employees as measured by customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and successful employee advancement.
  • Develops ‘team” atmosphere with employees and a pro-active leadership role in both front and back of the house.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels; prepares work schedules, delegates work, and makes station assignments.
  • Holds regularly scheduled meetings with supervisory team.
  • Operates InfoGenesis Point of Sale system, SMS Purchasing system, and back office computer systems proficiently to support operations.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and comfortable environment at all times.
  • Complies with internal and external agency sanitation standards, as applicable.
  • Circulates through restaurant and coordinates activities of service personnel to provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
  • Greets and communicates with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Receives and resolves customer grievances and concerns.
  • Maintains constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered to inform guests.
  • Exhibits superb team leadership/development and partnering ability while working with department employees and other department staff.
  • Presents a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Assists with budget preparation as directed.
  • Interviews, selects, hires and retains superior employees.
  • Coaches and counsels subordinate employees.
  • Oversees and ensures the timely completion of employee evaluations.
  • Conducts training with subordinates, both formally and informally.
  • Issues disciplines and terminates employees as appropriate.
  • Rewards and recognizes superior performers.
  • Oversees and ensures that employees work safely and follow all safety rules.
  • Exercises considerable judgement in determining priorities, managing projects and assignments, delegating work, and overall accomplishment of goals and tasks.
  • Manages departmental budget, maximizing revenue and controlling expenses as appropriate
  • Manages payroll and labor costs.
  • Maintains relevant records and oversees the maintenance of records as appropriate for the department.
  • Develops and implements strategic goals, objectives and business plans for the department
  • Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry and competition.
  • Ensures effective communication within the department and company.
  • Holds subordinates accountable for established performance expectations.
  • Motivates and develops staff; provides advice and guidance as appropriate.
  • Complies with and enforces compliance with the company’s recycling program standards.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs other duties as assigned and may assist at other outlets.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

  • Must possess 3 – 5 years of experience as a restaurant manager/supervisor position in high volume, mid-priced restaurant.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required, college preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Must possess superior customer service and leadership skills.
  • Must possess superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Must present an overall professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as scheduled.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
  • Must have the ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work.
  • Must have the ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
  • Must be ABC certified before starting work
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
