Our Client, a Global Legal Service Company , is looking for a Sr. Backend Java Engineer to join their San Jose, CA team !

ONSITE POSITION!

Pay: $74.86/hour

***This Is A 1 Year Contract to Hire Position!***

As the Sr Backend Software Engineer, you will join the Threatmetrix Portal Team – The team is responsible for architecting, implementing and supporting a robust web application used by fraud managers, analysts and security teams.

You will work on the backend primarily in Java Spring Framework to develop and maintain RESTful API (microservices) with endpoints handling complex business logics.

The team also develops web interface components using React framework, deployed on Kubernetes infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of Software Engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in agile development methodology.
• Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Strong development experience in languages including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, Go, python, HTML, CSS3, TypeScript etc.
• Familiar with SQL or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Couchbase.
• Ability to design and work with complex data models.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Proficiency in front-end technologies like React is a bonus.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes (Optional)
• Experience designing and building applications using Azure cloud tools (Optional)
