Requirements:

• At least 1 year previous back office Medical Assistant experience in a medical practice with some front office medical practice experience a plus
• Excellent time management skills
• Self-Motivated
• Organized
• Enjoy a fast paced medical environment
• Excellent computer skills
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and medical terminology
• Medical Assistant Certification Preferred

Duties Include:

• Rooming patients
• Taking vitals
• Updating patient medical history and medications
• Assisting with in office procedures
• Sterilization of instruments
• Ordering and stocking supplies
• Daily exam room and procedure room preparation, cleaning and restocking
• Precertification and tracking of diagnostic testing , including CT scans, MRI and Lab testing, as well as medication pre-authorizations
• Patient call backs ,Triage of patient calls, Post-op phone calls
• Experience giving injections a plus
• Computer skills: Medical practice management and electronic medical records software with eClinicalWorks a plus, Microsoft Word, Excel and scanning
• Would also cross-train into ophthalmology practice

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
