Badlands Portland, a NEW LGBTQ establishment in the heart of Downtown Portland, is in search of dedicated Barbacks to join our team. Barbacks play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bar. The ideal candidates will be responsible for a range of tasks, including maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and assisting bartenders during busy shifts. We're looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, responsibility, punctuality, and a willingness to work hard and collaboratively as part of a team. This position also offers opportunities to earn tips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize bar surfaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Collect used glasses and utensils, washing and polishing them for reuse.
• Promptly clean up spills and ensure the bar area remains clean and organized.
• Attend to bathroom cleanliness, including addressing messes and restocking paper towels and soap.
• Assist in ensuring proper sanitation.
• Stock refrigerators with beer and change kegs as needed.
• Replenish alcohol storage and assist with inventory management.
• Prepare and replenish fruit garnishes for cocktails.
• Collaborate closely with the bar staff to ensure efficient service during busy hours.

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic, responsibility, and punctuality are essential.
• A willingness to work hard and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy kegs and supplies.
• Prior barback or hospitality experience is a plus.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with bar staff.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
