Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines in cloud native environment
• Remove the single point of failure in all deployments
• Automate build, deployment and monitoring
• Engineer auto scaling in the cloud native environment
• Utilize LAMBDA architecture for on-demand and distributed processing
• Participate in system design, platform management and capacity planning
• Partner with dev teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Gather and analyze metrics for platform and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding

Technical skills:

• 7 years of professional experience in software development
• 3 years professional experience as DevOps engineer working with cloud based technologies
• Experience with databases (RDBMS and NoSQL)
• Experience working REST APIs and Open API standards
• Working knowledge of Agile development tools
• Hands on experience with build, deployment, automation and monitoring tools on Cloud based Linux deployments.
• Detailed understanding and working experience with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes and CI/CD

Problem solving skills:

• A proactive approach to spotting problems and areas for improvement
• Designing and implementing automation tasks using Python and/or shell scripts
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while meeting assigned deadlines
• Leave it better than you found it attitude
• Ownership of the infrastructure, automation and monitoring activities

Education:

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
