Director of Surgical Services

Piedmont Augusta in Georgia is actively seeking a dynamic and passionate Director of Surgical Services to become an invaluable addition to their exceptional team!

The Position

• The Director of Surgical Services will take on comprehensive administrative oversight for all facets of the Perioperative Services Division around the clock, encompassing pre-procedure testing, Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Central Service.
• This leader will spearhead the development of policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives within the department. Additionally, they will oversee the formulation of capital and operations budgets.
• This leader will ensure optimal departmental performance by maintaining maximum capacity, ensuring the team is adequately staffed, and providing all necessary resources.
• Ideal candidates should possess strong leadership skills and substantial experience. They must demonstrate the ability to mentor and educate staff effectively.

Requirements

• BSN required. MSN or Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Active RN license.
• Minimum of five years of nursing experience, accompanied by at least three years of proven expertise in a dynamic management/leadership capacity, is essential.
