B Capital Group is Hiring an Events Manager Near New York, NY

Position Summary:

The Events Manager is responsible for crafting the creative and logistics of a wide range of external events, as well as conference engagements. Position supports the entire firm including the investment, platform and investor relations teams. The Events Manager will work on multiple events simultaneously, likely with different internal stakeholders for each one. Position reports to the VP, Marketing and Communications.

BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ownership of B Capital events, including working with stakeholders to develop event goals, strategies and success metrics.
  • Full planning and execution of in-person events, including but not limited to:
    • Venue sourcing, contracting, budgeting, site selection, online registrations, transportation, accommodations, activities, theming/décor, entertainment, gift selection, catering, audio visual, content and speaker selection.
    • Sourcing, negotiating, and managing all contracts and vendors.
  • Ensure B Capital has a strong, impactful on-site presence at select conferences, including:
    • Organizing companywide efforts to develop a strategy and plan for B Capital's participation in conferences.
    • Collaboration with the PR agency for conference speaking opportunities and engagements
    • Primary point of contact between internal stakeholders, external conference administrators and vendors.
    • Logistical and sponsorship coordination, as well as budget oversight.
    • Create and develop marketing programs and value-adds to deliver impact at conferences (as needed).
  • Write and/or oversee all long and short form content creation for event materials, communications and post-event content (where applicable).
  • Work with graphic designer to map out a consistent design aesthetic for all event collateral.
  • Periodic travel for management of in-person events to ensure full coordination of logistics and on-site team.
  • Post-event wrap-up including final attendees, budget reconciliation, observations/learnings, event surveys and debriefs, reporting and cost analysis.
  • Support the team in Asia with their event needs, ensuring a consistent event experience across continents.
  • Provide additional, miscellaneous support to the marketing team, including but not limited to, ownership of the firm’s award submissions.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5-7 years of event planning experience
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings and travel (up to ~20% of the time), as required by the role.

The salary range is $90,000 - $110,000 and will commensurate according to relevantexperiences.
