Responsibilities:

First Citizens Bank is seeking a marketing events leader who can assist in managing events with our key business partners during our integration of SVB Private into First Citizens Wealth. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented team player, who enjoys managing both the execution of events, sponsorships and corporate partnerships. This role requires collaboration with internal business partners, external events partners as well as Marketing colleagues. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work well against deadlines.

Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Direction

o Design a strategic framework for corporate events that supports SVB Private’s business plan.

o Create a plan to identify a “strategic sponsorship or partnership” program that aligns with Boston Private’s values and provides brand equity that Boston Private can leverage in key markets.

o Approach the Events, Sponsorships and Partnerships function as an opportunity to drive qualified business leads pipeline to help close new business opportunities.

o Collaborate with Content and Program Managers to ensure that thought leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) are integrated into events whenever possible.

o Collaborate with Public Relations Manager when there are press, speaking and/or award opportunities at events.

o Manage the events calendar and distribute to business colleagues on a regular cadence. Communicate regularly with regional leaders to learn how they are allocating their regional sponsorship allotments.

o Establish an annual budget and manage it accordingly.

o Ensure events align with and support advertising and branding objectives while working alongside PR.

o Manage and optimize the use of marketing channels for different stages of the events lifecycle as they pertain to distribution and engagement (email, social, web etc).

  • Tactical Event Execution Management

o Plan client-related and business development events, conferences and seminars

o Support business development staff in planning event format, venue selection, menu selection, invitations, name tags, email invitations, surveys.

o Coordinate with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during event planning

o Manage event set up, tear down and follow-ups

o Establish standardized event procedures (e.g., creative templates, event check lists, etc.)

o Build and adhere to an event budget to avoid project overruns

o Track event key performance indicators in Salesforce and identify items to work on for future events

o Analyze and measure event effectiveness to optimize results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 7 years of related experience
  • Proven written and verbal communications skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners
  • Experience coordinating corporate events
  • Familiarity with event registration software; Experience with in-person and online event management
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM system and Splash a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality management, marketing or related areas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under strict deadlines
  • Ability to travel

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $61,448.54 - $74,002.55 per year
