About this role

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Event Strategist to join our team. This role will be pivotal in orchestrating and optimizing our event offerings, ensuring they align with our business objectives and elevate our customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and creative flair to drive the success of our events. Responsibilities

Event Planning and Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of a diverse range of events for corporate partners, including volunteer events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, from venue selection and vendor management to budgeting and on-site coordination.

Strategic Operations

  • Develop and implement innovative event strategies that align with our brand's overall marketing and business objectives.
  • Document best practices and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of current event offerings and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Implement efficient processes and systems to streamline event operations and ensure scalability.

Client Management and Business Acumen

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives to deliver exceptional event experiences.
  • Demonstrate business acumen by evaluating ROI and effectiveness of events, informing future strategies and budget.
  • Manage temporary sub-contractors as needed for projects.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (such as our Growth & Engagement team) to ensure alignment of event strategies with broader company goals.

  • Results driver: Gets the job done regardless of circumstances or challenges faced. Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative event strategies that drive business results. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach to event planning and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and strategy, with a focus on large-scale operations and client-facing roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing diverse events in the technology industry.
  • Experience in evaluating ROI and effectiveness of events to inform future strategies.
  • Experience with nonprofits / philanthropy is a plus but not required.
