Azumo is seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) in North Americato pursue a position in a fast-paced, display technology company. Qualified candidates will have strong technical capabilities and background in the display or electronics industries, specifically with top consumer electronic / industrial / medical OEM customers. Qualified candidates will also have experience serving as the primary technical resource for internal and external field sales forces by managing customers through the technology evaluation through the implementation stages of the sales process.

The FAE will work closely with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, and will be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally, have strong technical and business acumen, and have a desire to work in a VC-backed hardware technology company.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain expert level of technical product knowledge, including mechanical and electrical integration.
• Anticipate, identify, and close out technical issues in ODM/OEM customer and partner sites.
• Manage multiple and complex customer relationships simultaneously.
• Communicate technology benefits and product positioning to business and technical audiences, including in engineering, marketing, product design and the C-suite.
• Provide design and integration support to product designers, engineers, and manufacturers.
• Perform technical and product training for internal and external salespeople, distributors, and engineers at key accounts, both in-person and through video/screenshare.
• Assist in the design and development of new products or product modifications to fit key accounts.
• Make recommendations for end customers and gather customer/market intelligence for HQ.
• Maintain knowledge of new and existing competitive solutions in the market and understand the value proposition and trade-offs of different products.
• Travel to customer sites as needed for on-site integration support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field; ME/EE preferred.
• 3 years experience as an FAE in the display or electronics related fields.
• Comfortable with SolidWorks or similar CAD program.
• Strong understanding or interest in LCD, LED, and / or optics technologies.
• Proven project management experience with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self-initiative, self-motivation, and eagerness to continue learning.
• Fluency in Mandarin would be a plus
