The RFP Specialist will work closely with the Proposal Manager to oversee the proposal development process using Axonius' RFP response software, Responsive. In addition to RFP management skills, the RFP Specialist will require strong critical thinking, project management, time management, technical writing, and team collaboration skills. This individual will work cross-functionally with teams from across the organization, including Sales, Security, Finance, Legal, Product, Marketing, and more. The RFP Specialist will report to the Proposal Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Proposal Manager to design and implement the overall proposal development process, including strategy and concept development
• Contribute to the entire proposal process, from proposal build-out to delivery
• Manage and meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and due dates
• Structure, develop, and maintain a repository of RFP templates, product collateral, standard language, relevant metadata, regular review cadences, and clear content ownership with support from critical teams across the organization
• Establish productive relationships with Sales, Product, Security, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other teams to ensure that content is accurate and updated on a timely basis
• Escalate potential roadblocks and develop solutions to challenges in a timely manner
• Lead and facilitate meetings across business lines at all levels in the development of content and the delivery and execution of the RFP process
• Proofread and edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders and provide feedback to strengthen responses
• Review and analyze RFP losses to determine enhancements to proposals and processes
• Partner with the sales team to develop RFP differentiators and win themes for each unique proposal
• Understand the product and stay up-to-date with the latest product releases
• Perform other duties as needed to support the day-to-day operations of the Proposal Team

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing and delivering RFP responses, ideally for Cloud/SaaS software organizations
• Proven ability to analyze RFP requirements and develop winning responses to reflect value propositions
• Strong project management and organization skills
• Excellent writing and editing skills including proper grammar and punctuation skills
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including the comfort and ability to facilitate meetings
• Capable of building cross-functional relationships
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results to meet strict deadlines
• Efficient in completing tasks, highly detail-oriented, and flexible as priorities shift
• Strong critical thinking skills are a must, with the ability to problem solve and identify solutions to achieve results
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Proposal writing experience
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe, and RFP software
• Familiarity with IT principles and terminology, including but not limited to cloud, cybersecurity, and software development
