Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee our company's IT infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our network infrastructure, servers, and ensuring the security of our systems.
IT Manager Responsibilities:
· Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor our IT team, which includes a Systems Administrator/Help Desk Technician, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them grow and develop their skills.
· Strategic Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define goals and objectives for our technology initiatives. Develop strategic plans to execute defined objectives, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities.
· IT Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of our on-site IT operations, including network infrastructure, software systems, and user support. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of our IT systems and resources.
· Project Management: Coordinate and oversee outsourced IT projects, working closely with external vendors and service providers. Drive projects to successful completion, on time and within budget.
· HR Responsibilities: Take on traditional HR responsibilities, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations, for the IT team. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support team growth and development.
Technical Requirements:
· Microsoft desktop 10 & 11 administration.
· Experience with Microsoft windows server 2012, 2016, & 2022
· Experience with Linux servers. Especially Ubuntu, Apache, PhpMyAdmin, MySQL, etc.
· Microsoft 365 administration. Ideally Outlook, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Access, & Teams.
· Experience with Microsoft Active Directory on perm and Azure Entra.
· Understanding of databases. Ideally SQL, SSMS, MySQL, & PhpMyAdmin
· Experience of Routers, Firewalls, VPNs, Modems, Switches, & Access Points.
· Background administering ERPS, CRMs, and project management tools. Ideally ProfitKey ERP, HubSpot CRM, and ClickUp Project Management.
· Understanding of programming languages and concepts. Specifically, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Visual Basic, etc.
· Core understanding of various protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, VPN, RDP, SSL, SMB, SSH, SFTP, etc.
· Experience managing websites. Ideally with WordPress, Wix, NameCheap, etc.
· Understanding of modern web technologies and design.
· Familiarity with engineering applications such as Solidworks, MasterCam, & Radan.
· Understanding of Crystal Reports.
· Experience with virtual server environments, specifically Microsoft HyperV.
· Familiarity with QNAP & Synology Nas Systems
· Experience with server hardware. Ideally Dell & HP.
· Background with project management recruiting tools like Upwork or Freelancer.
· Experience with printer troubleshooting. Ideally with HP, Ricoh, & Brother Printers.
