Our Senior Living Center is looking for a Director of Social Services to join our dedicated leadership team. Work with families and residents to provide resources and services throughout their stay. Full-time, salaried position, Monday - Friday.
Job Description: This position requires a person who as passion for “HumanKindness and Wellness for Life”. Must enjoy working with seniors. Manage and mentor a staff of social workers that are responsible for the internal process of managing and coordinating all the major aspects of the patient's care and communicating the relevant aspects of the rehabilitation and long term care process to all necessary parties. This process involves assisting in coordination of necessary and appropriate services, assuring financial reimbursement for services, promoting adequate documentation, and effectively communicating with all involving parties affected during a residents stay.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree In social work.
- Experience in rehabilitation and/or healthcare.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Good hearing and sight to adequately communicate with patients, family, staff and third party payers and their representatives.
