Avery Brewing is Hiring a Lab Technician 3rd Shift Near Boulder, CO
Our lab is the center of our production operations. We operate the lab 365 days a year including all company holidays, because the beer needs you. An ideal candidate will be stoked to apply their knowledge, experience, and love for fermentation science in a lab setting. Working intimately with our entire staff, every department, and all of our beers is a very demanding and rewarding responsibility here at Avery Brewing Co. This role will be a Monday - Thursday, 8pm-6am role.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a science relating to beer production.
- Ideal candidate will have 1 years industry experience in a brewery and/or food & beverage production quality lab.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Must be comfortable working both in a team setting and independently.
- Basic brewing knowledge is required.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking are essential to everyday tasks.
- Social skills and communication are of the highest priority including quality discussions with each department at the brewery.
- Nerd-level intelligence required.
- Must be motivated to understand and master all quality control processes in the production of Avery beer.
- Ability to use senses to detect dangerous gasses and malfunctioning equipment, and communicate any issues with colleagues and manager.
- Physically capable of lifting 50lbs responsibly and repeatedly
- Ability to stand for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to work in a very hot or very cold environment for extended periods of time.
- Ability to maneuver quickly around tight spaces.
- Candidate must be able to work third shift schedule. This is a Monday- Thursday overnight shift.
