Avanti Engineering is looking for a hands on CNC leader, well versed with CNC swiss machining and CNC turning.

Main Responsibility:

Support operators with troubleshooting and training. Capable of editing programs, set up hot jobs when needed. Assist the CNC Supervisor on the day to day operations. Suggest improvement. 

Responsibilities: 

- Assist the CNC supervisor on daily operations

- Provide supervisory direction and support for all personnel assigned

- Responsible for the assigned jobs and machines of his/her team members

- Responsible of meeting the quality standards according to the customer’s blueprint

- Troubleshoot and leads direct reports

- Perform simple repairs to equipment as needed

- Responsible for the training and development of team members assigned, including shadowing and coaching

- Monitor levels of production, output per machine, scraps and rejects

- Edit programs, set ups, installs tooling necessary for parts production, and guides on the operation of the CNC equipment

- Follows and enforces the employee handbook policies

- Maintains a safe environment and good housekeeping at his immediate area of responsibility.

Schedule : 6:00 am - 4:30 pm OR, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm M – F 

· Overtime available

Requirements

- Solid knowledge of metal manufacturing industry

- At least 5 years hands on experience working in manufacturing environment as lead person, or equivalent

- Knowledge on how to edit program, do setups and must have experience with Miyano (BNE, ABX, double spindle, double turret, 8 axis) or, Citizens M16, M20 , M32 machines. 

- Problem solving/ troubleshooting

- Attention to detail 

- Organizational and time management skills

- Understand inspection per customer and quality requirements

- Good communication skills

- Able to display strong leadership skills

- Microsoft office software skills 

- Bilingual ( English/ Spanish ) preferred

- Available to work overtime
