Autumn General Contracting LLC. (AGC), we are looking for a construction superintendent/Project Manager to work in the Washington DC area.

AGC is a commercial construction company that has proudly served our Nation’s Capital region for more than 20 years. AGC has worked for the Department of Commerce, The National Park Service, The Smithsonian Institute, the General Service Administration, as well as State and Local Governments.

The essential role of this position is to:

Represent AGC; manage the construction site; proactively anticipate and solve problems that could delay construction; promote and instill company values into the workforce; physically inspect projects to monitor progress and compliance with project specifications, schedule and safety standards.

The position includes but is not limited to the following duties:

• Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors and AGC’s job site work force
• Uses independent and discretionary judgment to ensure positive progress of the project
• Handles confidential information professionally
• Promotes on-site safety through enforcement of company policy and OSHA regulation
• Effective and timely communicates with Project Manager(s) and Operations Manager
• Assists with the identification of site staffing and equipment utilization.
• Serves as a liaison between field and office staff.
• Oversee personnel administration (field staff), weekly timesheet submission, attendance, time-off requests, daily and weekly reports and reprimands (when necessary)

Experience Required:

• 5 years minimum on-site supervision of general construction services.
• Certifications in: OSHA 30 hours, Construction Quality Control, First Aid and CPR
• Thorough knowledge of primary/specialty trade services performed on a GC project.
• Drawing reading and layout
• Math and reading aptitude
• Computer literacy: Excel, MS Project and Word
• Excellent communicator with clients, vendors, subcontractors and associates.
• Strong ability to manage multi-projects at one time
• Valid Driver’s License
