Responsibilities
- Review financial statement for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and enter journal entries into Quickbooks, or other department chosen software, in accordance with GAAP
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and sales tax process for multiple locations
- Prepare account reconciliations for accounts to assess validity, correctness and appropriateness of balances; prepare adjusting entries when required
- Assist with month end closing, meeting processing and reporting deadlines
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
- Verify that all transactions comply with company financial policies and procedures
- Other duties as requested, performing such other accounting or administrative tasks as needed
- Must have the ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Must have excellent communication skills, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Must meet monthly deadlines to support accurate company reporting.
- Must adhere to accounting expectations expressed by the Accounting Manager
- Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, bend, and/or lift
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to talk or listen.
- Sometimes required to lift heavy packages (20 pounds or greater).
- Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.
- Minimum Desired Education: Bachelor’s degree: accounting preferred, minor in business is a huge plus.
- Minimum Desired Experience: 5 years
