Automotive Search Group is Hiring an AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE MANAGER Near Lancaster, MA

Automotive Service Manager needed for family owned new car dealership in the greater Lancaster, MA area. This is a great opportunity for a Service Manager that leads by example, is a true mentor to their team, and brings a positive and consistent attitude to work each day. The department is in good condition and there is further room for growth. The successful candidate is a highly organized and process driven Service Manager that sees the big picture and doesn't get lost in the details. This is with a growing import dealership and reputable organization. This is with a dealer group that really cares about CSI and providing a great service experience to their customers in order to ensure customer retention and maintain their positive reputation in the market. Thus, it is important that the Service Manager hired has great CSI while also promoting a goal oriented work environment for their team. Must understand numbers and KPIs to drive profit and properly manage the department. Lastly, must be a good person with a proven track record and be looking for a long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department
  • Create and implement processes to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability in the service department.
  • Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals.
  • Hold daily and weekly meetings for the department, as well as 1:1s with individual team members.
  • Ensure the department has green CSI through building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring that they receive high-quality service.
  • Oversee the Service Advisors and ensure that ROs are written up and closed out in a timely manner.
  • Manage and supervise the service technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and within established timelines.
  • Provide training to service technicians to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Recruit, interview and train service staff; handle performance reviews
  • Create an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty
  • Develop and manage budgets and operating plans for the service department, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about the latest automotive technologies and stay current on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
  • Monitor/control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure the Service area is customer-customer ready with proper displays and information
  • Other duties as required
Compensation:
  • Compensation range will likely be in the $120,000 - $140,000 range to start depending on experience, performance, and track record. Earnings are expected to increase as the department grows.
  • Full benefits package provided including health, dental, 401(k) matching, paid holidays and vacation.
