Description
Automated Dairy is looking for a Service Technician. As a service technician, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain dairy equipment in order to help the dairy achieve optimal production. We offer training in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, welding refrigeration, and pneumatic skills. Our service technicians use these competencies to solve any problems that arise on-farm.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
· Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete required documents, explain equipment features, and answer questions about the operation of the equipment to onsite individuals.
· Demonstrated proficiency in tool usage, including phone and computer usage required for service calls, work order completion, on-site training tools, inventory, and time entry.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently with little supervision.
· Work shift adaptability, which would include an on-call rotation and the ability to work alternative shifts such as weekends, holidays, afternoons, or evenings.
· High School diploma, GED, or employment history that demonstrates the application of repairs to resolve customer complaints and issues and/or ability to communicate issues to the supervisor for assistance.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Hands on repair/installation experience.
· Current Industry knowledge and prior experience servicing dairy equipment.
· Refrigeration Certification.
· Mechanical aptitude.
· Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, and take accurate measurements to calculate precise cuts for installation and repairs.
Physical Demands:
· Applicant must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities.
· Applicant must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
· Applicant must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to fifty (50) pounds independently and one hundred (100) pounds with assistance.
· Must be able to take and pass a physical agility test, background, and drug test.
· Routine local travel and some distance travel is required and necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
Working Conditions:
· The applicant will work in outside elements where temperature, weather, odors, and/or landscape may be unpleasant and/or potentially hazardous.
Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
