Job Summary:

The Field Technician will provide rough and trim installations and set-up for residential new-construction low voltage systems. The position requires strong technical ability and a high level of motivation to deliver on multiple projects daily in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Rough and trim installation and set-up of various residential low voltage systems including a/v, security, networking, vacuums, and others as described in the work order and accompanying diagrams.
• Promptly address routine communications between parties on topics such as missing or damaged items, diagram conflicts, or schedule issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Escalate issues and inquiries to the appropriate person(s) as needed.
• Maintain clean jobsites while working, and removal of debris at the completion of the job.
• Adhere to both industry and company-specific safety policies and procedures, and the ability to complete the company’s safety training program.
• Assist other departments and perform additional tasks as required or requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years combined experience in low voltage residential installations including home integration systems, a/v, security, networking, and cabling infrastructure, and the ability to read diagrams (preferred).
• Industry-specific certifications (such as wiring terminations or Lutron Homeworks) a plus.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills and an attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; networking, panel, and application programming experience a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• A valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
