Summary:
Responsible for building professional knowledge and increasing student achievement of P-3rd grade students by collaborating with P - 20 Learning Community Directors, building level leadership, Instructional Coordinators (IC), learning community support team, Teaching
Partners, and Early Learning educators to develop their understanding of effective instructional practices in early childhood education. This position serves as a consultant in matters pertaining to Early Childhood Programming and services within each assigned school/site. Specific duties include: ensuring alignment and clear communication between standards, curricula and assessments, and developing and providing district-wide professional learning experiences for Early Learning Educators. Consultants work with the Director of Early
Learning to support schools with kindergarten transition practices, support principals by monitoring achievement growth at schools, research best instructional practices and curriculum, develop instructional plans in alignment with District and state standards plan and participate in various District meetings; and plan and facilitate new teacher on-boarding and induction activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support all Early Childhood Education preschool - 3rd grade school sites with the effective implementation of the Colorado Academic Standards,
Colorado Early Learning Guidelines, Colorado Shines, with a particular emphasis on ECE and Kindergarten grade level related curricula and assessments, and effective instructional practices in all Early Learning
Classrooms. Support district-wide implementation through professional

Daily 35% learning, monitoring, coaching and providing input to revisions of Early
Learning Instructional Models. Build capacity of school leadership teams to plan and develop building level professional development for early learning content. Plan and participate in site visits, learning walks, ECE leadership team meetings, P- 20 team meetings, Division of Equity in Learning and
Teaching and Learning team meetings, in-services, group dialogues and grade level meetings.

In partnership with the P-20 Support Teams, assist school leaders, ECE
Department and P-20 Learning Community Directors in monitoring

Daily 20% achievement growth at schools; analyzing TS GOLD, School Readiness
Assessments, , and other early learning and school specific content assessments, including screening assessments.

Collaborate across support teams and within the Division of Equity in
Mnthly 15% Learning along with building leadership regarding, instructional practices, data collection/analysis, and vertical teaming supports

Develop teacher understanding of appropriate instruction through staff development and job embedded development that focuses on curriculum, planning, assessment and evaluation of preschool students. Support

Daily 15% instructional staff to provide a continuum of services to meet students' needs through co-planning, scaffolds, and accommodations/modifications.
Plan and facilitate ongoing professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals.

Support transition to Kindergarten processes and vertical alignment ECE to
Daily 15% Kindergarten across all early childhood settings within the district and community sites.

Serve as administrative support to the ECE department. Communicate programming decisions, systems and processes to various stakeholders.
Daily 2% Assist in advising and developing internal and external preschool program operational strategies.

Daily 3% Perform other duties as assigned.

Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related area, or
EDUCATION AND verification of an Early Childhood Professional 2.0 Credential
TRAINING: Level IV or higher, Buell Early Childhood Leadership Credential or

ECE Coaching Credential Preferred

5 - 7 years of experience in classroom and instructional
EXPERIENCE: leadership.

Operating knowledge of and experience with personal
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, computers and office equipment required. Knowledge of Multi-
EQUIPMENT & OTHER:

Tiered Systems of Support and English language skills required.

A CDE Administrator or Principal license is preferred or
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & submission of an Early Childhood 2.0 Level IV or V Credential and
R EGISTRATIONS: submission of credential to CDHS for a Director Qualification required upon hire.

Under the direction of the Director. Responsibilities include
SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL assistance with interviewing, hiring and training employees;
RESPONSIBILITY: planning, assigning and directing work; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. There are no specific vision abilities required for this job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, coordinate, use interpersonal skills

MENTAL FUNCTIONS: and negotiate. Frequently required to synthesize, evaluate, compile and negotiate. Occasionally required to compare, analyze, copy, instruct, compute and compile.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
