Aurex Group is partnered with a global hedge fund that is looking to add an experienced individual to their back office Trade Operations team. This position does not have any direct reports and is required to be in office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Manage power settlements for the organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions related to power trading activities
• Perform daily reconciliations of trades and positions for power and FTRs.
• Manage relationships with Independent System Operators (ISOs) and ensure compliance with their rules and regulations.
• Validate profit and loss (PnL) and positions on a daily basis.
• Monitor and reconcile cash management activities related to power settlements
• Work closely with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Utilize ETRM systems to capture and track trades, positions, and settlements.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, or mathematics
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in reconciliations and settlement processes for power and FTRs
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing ISO relationships, PnL, and position validation.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements related to power trading
• Experience working with various ETRM systems (e.g., Allegro, Openlink, Triple Point).
• Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Additional experience in reconciliations and settlement processes for natural gas
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
