Auberle Seeks: Overnight Behavioral Health Tech

The Auberle Family Healing Center is an innovative residential treatment program for families struggling with a substance use disorder (SUD). The program is a licensed 3.5 facility. It also provides an array of services including individual, family, and group counseling, psychiatric consultation, medical services, therapeutic activities, parent education, and case management. The program is exclusively available to Allegheny County families referred by child welfare. This innovative program allows families with multiple adults and up to four children to stay together while the person struggling with addiction receives treatment.

Key Objectives:

  • Performs hourly rounds on the program and complete required documentation to communicate information gathered from those rounds
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with representatives from community and for accepting and distributing donations
  • Supervises clients in daily activities, parenting, personal hygiene, social skills, recreational activities, and problem solving
  • Performs urinalysis testing with residents as assigned to ensure abstinence
  • Operates a motor vehicle to transport clients to appointments, pharmacy and supply pick-up, and transport to shopping and community events, as needed and assigned
  • Monitors medication and maintains medication log
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

Qualifications


Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. with at least 2 years of applicable human service experience preferred, AS Degree in Human Services, or related field and 6 mos of human service experience preferred, BS Degree in Human Services, or related field.
  • Preference given to individuals with lived experience around substance use disorders
  • Because of treatment philosophy, persons identified or who have been diagnosed with an alcohol or other drug dependence be abstinent for at least two (2) years prior to employment and remain abstinent throughout employment
  • Valid PA drivers license preferred
  • ACT 33/34 and FBI Clearances
  • Pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug screens
  • Meet the required Skills and Abilities described herein
