We are seeking a Project Scientist (EIR Scientist) to join our team! The location of this position is flexible. Preference will be given to candidates with petroleum and/or project management experience. Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage environmental projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH through all phases, from proposal generation, project execution, reporting, and invoicing.
Provide work assignments to support staff in execution of fieldwork and project deliverables.
Prepare technical reports
Assist clients with complying with local, regional, state, and federal regulations for the petroleum projects,
Interact with internal and external clients, service partners, and contractors
Promote a safety-first culture that values proactive measures and continuous improvement
Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or other applied science,
Minimum 3 years of experience (5 years preferred) including a combination of field, data evaluation, and technical writing within the environmental site investigation & remediation practice.
Working knowledge of procedures and methodologies related to site investigation, hydrogeology, and remediation of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and air impacts.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements.
Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting.
Good problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills
Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities on an on-going basis.
Must be able to pass drug screen and motor vehicle background check.
Technical Requirements:
Experience with petroleum releases and remediation projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH.
Experience and understanding of ASTM Environmental Site Assessment preferred.
40-hr HAZWOPER training and 8-hour annual refresher.
