We are seeking a Regional Sr. Vice President to join our Central Region! Come join us! The right candidate could sit in our Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, or Indianapolis office.
The Atlas Regional Sr. Vice president is responsible for all aspects of leading and managing a multidisciplined, multi-state business. Primary responsibilities include profit and loss performance, client relationship development, business growth, staff management, and project delivery.
This position reports directly to the COO, with extensive interaction and coordination with the Atlas CEO and Executive team, the other 3 Regional SVPs, the Atlas Technical Organization, and corporate function team members.
The role and responsibilities of the Regional Senior Vice President will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Meeting regional Health and Safety metrics.
Serving as the key executive of the company within the region
Developing, leading, and executing on the region’s strategic growth plans.
Leading the development and delivery of the annual region business plan, including serving as the overall region business leader responsible for P&L performance; monitoring and managing the month-to-month operational and financial performance of the region.
Maintaining exceptional client satisfaction and strengthening client relationships.
Recruiting, retaining, developing, and rewarding a high-performing team with a focus on team diversity.
Implementing strong operating, risk management, and project delivery tools, processes, and capabilities for appropriate risk.
Contributing to the strategic direction of the firm and the performance of the management team as a key company leader.
Actively guiding and participating in large project and program reviews,
Providing input, guidance and go/ no-go authorization on large pursuits.
Participating in key “challenged project” reviews to provide input and direction to mitigate risk and optimize performance.
Acting as senior point of contact for region-to-region coordination and dispute resolution.
Minimum Requirements:
BSCE or BSENVR Eng preferred.
20 years minimum professional experience required.
Willing to accept another degree with more experience, as long as candidate has demonstrated experience leading a multi-state, multi-service materials testing, engineering and/or environmental business.
Experience with integrating companies and with private equity ownership a plus.
Required Experience:
Experience leading a business operation within the engineering-construction industry with a related scope and complexity, and revenue of at least $200M/year and profitability of at least 15% EBITDA/Net Revenue.
Deep Client service/sales experience, including client relationships within the region
Strategic planning experience
Proven ability to lead and grow a business at an 8% or higher annual growth level.
Proven ability to attract, develop and retain talent.
Miscellaneous qualities:
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
