Atlas Roofing Corporation seeking a Customer Service Manager for our shared-services Finance department based in the Atlanta, GA office.

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for providing the leadership, training, and resources to the Customer Service team to manage the customer experience effectively by delivering personalized experiences and managing customer expectations tactfully that result in win-win solutions for customers and the organization.

Customer Service Manager Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Customer Service and Pricing Administration to develop annual customer service objectives.
  • Assist in the utilization and improvement of software tools such as the ERP system, Salesforce, QlikSense and Conexiom.
  • Work continually towards self-development to stay current on customer service, sales, and supervisory procedures & practices.
  • Assess team performance and make employment recommendations and decisions.
  • Coach team and provide timely feedback on performance gaps and development opportunities to achieve performance goals throughout the year.
  • Track, manage and optimize customer interactions through various communication channels.
  • Focus and enforce best business practices and policies to ensure a superior level of service is provided to all customers.
  • Monitor procedures to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing, production planning and logistics personnel to ensure order lead times are met.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure goals are in alignment with sales objectives.
  • Travel to manufacturing facilities and customer locations as necessary.

Customer Service Manager Experience

  • Five year’s customer service experience
  • Three to five years’ experience in the building products industry is desirable.

Customer Service Manager Education, Licenses & Certifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Four-year degree preferred.

Customer Service Manager Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Quality Focus. The ability to set high standards to secure quality while striving for continual improvement.
  • Problem-solving. The ability to define problems; determine the cause of the problem; identify, prioritize, and select alternatives for a solution; and implement a solution.
  • Customer Orientation. The ability and willingness to identify the needs of our internal and external customers and to act accordingly.
  • Communication: The ability to clearly express thoughts and ideas in verbal and written formats.
  • Teamwork. The ability to work effectively with others to achieve a common goal even when the object at stake is of no direct departmental gain.
  • Fluent in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking).
  • Strong organizational and effective time management skills
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Computer Skills – proficient in Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, and Qlik Sense such as QlikView.

Customer Service Manager Additional Information

  • The candidate can be located at any Shingles and Underlayments manufacturing facility (Ardmore, OK, Daingerfield, TX, Franklin, OH, Hampton, GA or Meridian, MS).
