SUMMARY
Performs tasks necessary to assist various departments with machine operation. A machine operator works to manufacture metal products using machines such as CD weld, drilling, tapping, hardware insertion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school education; or 2 – 4 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, work orders and standard work documents. Ability to read and speak conversational English.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good manual dexterity with hands and fingers. Must have some PC experience (or be willing to learn) to use Manufacturing System. Ability to read and interpret drawings and/or blueprints.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

-Operate various equipment such as CD weld, drilling, tapping
-Plan sequence of operations and review blueprints to ensure precision
-Perform hole drilling and sheet metal cutting functions
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to work in a timely matter to meet deadlines
-Previous experience preferred, but not required
-Manufacturing background is a plus
