Atlantic Fall Protection is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Charleston, SC

As a Construction Project Manager at Atlantic Fall Protection, you will oversee and coordinate projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience, leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and meet the highest quality standards. This is an in-person, in-office position. Relocation not available.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful execution of projects by overseeing the overall direction, communication, supervision, and daily operations.
  • Regularly review costs relative to the budget and highlight discrepancies to enable improved financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project team members.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and resolving issues.
  • Manage equipment, materials, and labor to ensure appropriate resources are available to meet the project schedule.
  • Lead all aspects of the company’s safety culture while demonstrating a commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Lead various meetings, such as monthly project reviews and progress meetings.
  • Identify potential schedule impacts, including scope, weather, staffing, and changes to facilitate mitigation plans.
  • Lead overall project closeout process using best practice standards, tools, and processes such as the closeout punch list, manuals and reports, financials, warranties, etc.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
  • Remain current with safety codes and improvements in construction processes and regulatory standards.
  • Enforce quality control measures to ensure construction projects meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and overall project management department.
  • Identify leads for future project opportunities, ensuring estimate is written and sent to the client.
  • Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Project Manager role with a supervisory capacity in construction.
  • Experience leading commercial construction projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand design specifications and drawings.
  • Read and comprehend construction documents, such as design specifications, drawings, and installation requirements, to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all construction aspects, including technology, equipment, methods, schedules, documentation, and safety.
  • Possess strong attention-to-detail, verbal and written communication, time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Technologically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Experience with AutoCAD is preferred but required to learn. Ability to learn new programs quickly with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours on occasion to meet project needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
  • Subject to a successful background check and drug testing.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
