Athleta is Hiring a Project Manager, Field Calls and Events Near San Francisco, CA

About the Role

In this role, you will deliver store strategies to enable brands to deliver strong earnings and create competitive advantages. The team integrates and operationalizes all planned activities to enable stores, field leadership and HQ business partners to optimize performance and results.

What You'll Do

  • Provide thought leadership and work closely with Store Operations, Field Leaders and other functional business partners to define, develop and drive key business priorities to support Stores and Brand goals
  • Lead cross functional teams defining success criteria, aligning milestones, stakeholder communications, implementation, and managing organizational change
  • Independently own and manage strategic initiatives, leading cross functional teams in evaluation of hypotheses, strategic analysis / planning, and operational execution to further store goals and priorities
  • Develop and refine project scope, structure, and approach, quantitative and qualitative analyses. Identify key issues, guide analysis, develop conclusions, and present findings to cross functional leaders
  • Adapt team priorities to respond to customer and business partner needs
  • Provide front line supervision to an operational, service or administrative team
  • Identify and assess store needs for field facing calls and events designed to inspire, evolve, and ignite store employees.
  • Executes all associated logistics, tools, and resources for field calls and events, including management and upkeep of evergreen resources.
  • Manages all necessary business partner deliverables to successfully execute calls and events, ensuring on time delivery of communications and workload to stores.
  • Delivers impactful communications through calls and written messages for store employees to understand their role to build a customer and product obsessed culture while bringing to life our brand strategy, vision, and values.
  • Influences cross functional partners to ensure consistent messaging and delivery of content and storytelling through field calls.
  • Owns and manages the Athleta Field Communications calendar and mailbox to create a complete view of all field touchpoints to understand store ask and workload.
  • Runs logistics on all field facing calls, both Store Operations run, and supports business partner calls to ensure consistency in experience, storytelling, and follow through of recordings and asset share out.
  • Manages overall in store events tools and resources to create consistency and accountability across stores and UF. Continuously assessing opportunities to streamline to create better ROI and business impact.
  • Project management and execution of events supporting the field, including but not limited to FLC, district meetings, and jet trips, in partnership with the Head of Stores, Head of Store Operations, and direct supervisor in overall strategy.
  • Gather call and event feedback to hindsight future opportunities for both stores and business partners.
  • Develop feedback loop and spend time in stores to understand leader and associate sentiment, needs, and pain points.
  • Create and own call logistics playbook to create better consistency within cross functional business partner’s field facing calls to streamline and optimize store experience.
  • Prioritize, multitask, and oversee multiple concurrent projects and workstreams with various business partners.
  • Support field communications as needed.

Who You Are

  • Store Leadership and/or Store Operations experience with a passion for developing team members and mentoring future leaders
  • Experience leading large program management efforts including establishing effective governance structures, cross functional coordination, and executive stakeholder management and reporting
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a dynamic business landscape Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing environment
  • Strong relationship building skills and experience working closely with senior executives and cross functional partners to influence strategic agendas and operationalize key strategic initiatives
  • Strong critical thinking and business curiosity, including strong analytical and creative Problem-solving skills, strong ability to work with complex and detailed data to drive insights and decisions
  • Proficient in Zoom, PowerPoint, and Word with a growth mindset in learning new technology and platforms.
  • Communication – able to convey information and ideas through excellent verbal and written communication in an engaging manner facilitating understanding and retention.
  •  Events – ability to deliver a best in class attendee experience, customer or internally facing, with high attention to detail to ensure proper execution.
  • Experience in project management of complex projects, timelines, and deliverables with ability to manage multiple business partners and deliverables to an on time deadline.
  • Highly flexible, self-directed, and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment. Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and act quickly and decisively.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with all levels - leverage interpersonal style and communication methods to gain acceptance of an idea from business partners, acting as a strong team player.
  • Problem solving – articulates successful response to challenging situations utilizing available knowledge while considering alternative solutions.
  • Able to set specific and measurable performance objectives and strive to meet and/or exceed the performance standard.
  • Time management - Demonstrated ability to identify and manage competing priorities; effectively manages one's time and resources to ensure multiple priorities are balanced and managed successfully.
  • Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business. Ability to travel overnight as required.
