Athena Ag Inc. is Hiring an International Sales Manager Near Jacksonville, FL

Job Overview:

As the International Sales Manager in a fertilizer manufacturing company will manage and direct the Sales team to achieve global sales and profit goals. Designs and recommends sales and marketing programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Must have knowledge of international variances in cultural and legal issues pertaining to sales. Give input into developing the budget. Proficient in resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. This position will direct report to the CEO of the company.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Recommends and implements an international sales strategy.
  • The ability to plan, direct, or coordinate the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer.
  • Prospects, creates, develops, and secures new business in the international markets.
  • Aggressively targets high-potential prospect and outbound strategies.
  • Gathers intelligence on target markets, customers, and business opportunities.
  • Engages in campaigns and programs to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Performs pipeline reviews and provides accurate forecasts for the Executive Leaderships
  • Consistently exceeds business and revenue goals.
  • Monitors and directs the progress and sales efforts within the department.
  • Build a strong competent, and compliant sales force.
  • Ensure staff adherence to operational goals.
  • People Development organizes and executes routine performance reviews for the Sales staff.
  • Develop skills and abilities within the Sales team. Provide pathways for growth.
  • Manage changes promptly and communicate effectively with Sales staff and key stakeholders.
  • Create, prepare, and presents regular reports on sales metrics, including volume, quality, staffing, and other operational data to senior management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a management role, preferably in the chemical or agricultural industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to oversee multiple operations simultaneously.
  • Experience using spreadsheets, managing virtual calendars, and organizing documents inside the google drive.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software, Google, NetSuite, ERP/CRM systems.

Work Environment:

The International Sales Manager typically works in the office with knowledge of office equipment and software, with 10% travelling internationally.

Required Skills

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel to different parts of the region.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, crunch.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at a time.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000, plus commission

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: On-Site (Monday – Friday) and 10% travel internationally.
