Summary: Inspects materials and products, such as components, and finished material for conformance to specifications. Follow standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: other duties may be assigned.
Examine material or products for surface defects such as color, streaks, roughness, size (thickness/width) and height.
Examine packages to make sure that the proper product has been placed in the proper box and with the proper label. Compares product with approved samples and standards.
Verifies specified dimensions of product or material and reject defective parts.
Interprets blue prints with management staff to determine quality and dimensions standards.
Prepare the daily QC reports.
Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.
Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills are a must.
Perform or coordinate conductance of maintenance, calibration, and qualification activities maintenance.
Must be able to collect and document inspection data.
Operate any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.
Maintain daily/weekly production reports.
Maintain inventory of labels, UPC, ribbons for printer, color dots for Home Depot & Lowes, etc.
Get LA material and boxes for the production line.
Conduct QC supplies inventory and maintain them organize.
Have experience in ISO audit.
Work as a Team with other supervisors and QC Inspectors.
Other tasks that are necessarily and not limited to those defined above may be performed such as cover other employees for lunch break where needed.
Reliable consistent attendance and the ability to perform overtime as requested.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent, Technical/associates degree preferred. Formal education in courses related to these areas such as mathematics, and industrial practices, are essential for this position.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret drawings. Must have Micrometer and Calipers skills knowledge. Ability to apply quality understanding and high attention to detail. Must be able to communicate in English. Some quality control practices as they apply to individual unique products can be learned during on-the-job training, but overall capability in this discipline must be previously demonstrated.

Quality Control Inspector must exert force to move objects less than 25 lb. (50%), 26-50 lb. (50%), 51-75 lb. (0%), and 76 lb. (0%). Hearing (100%), Talking (100%), Seeing and examining objects at less than two feet (80%), and Seeing and examining objects at greater than two feet (20%).
Safety Equipment: The employee is required to use appropriate safety shoes, safety glasses, and any protective equipment required by the department they work in.

Safety measures are currently in place to minimize the potential for injury. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving equipment.
