PICU RN CHARGE
Years of experience REQ: 2 Years PICU floor
Preferred experience: Full time PICU charge
First-timers accepted: (Y/N) Yes
Weekend REQ: No
Certs REQ: BLS, PALS, CCRN – Preferred, NRP – Preferred
Is on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req? Yes - Call may be required: 2 x12 hour shifts in an 8 week schedule period or the equivalent.
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes
Locals accepted: (Y/N) What is the local radius rule? Yes
Pending License accepted: (Y/N) Must have their license before start of assignment, can be offered with a pending license.
RTO Restrictions: Unit manager’s approval required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week, facility is allowed to call off 6x throughout a 13-week assignment.
Special Requirements:
- Patient Age Group: Inftans, Pediatrics, Adolescents
- Medication System: Omnicell
- Documentation System: Cerner Powerchart
- Communication System: SBAR
- Provider Support: Interpretation Services, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Transportation
- Provider Coverage: Anesthesiologist – In House 24/7
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: We are a combined Pediatric and PICU unit. We have 14 beds that can be used for either Peds med-surg patients or PICU patients. Our staffing ratios are 4:1 for peds teams and 2:1 or 1:1 for PICU teams. We see lots of trauma patients, respiratory, ortho, ENT, DKA, GI. We send patients to Phoenix for subspecialty care such as cardiac surgery, pulmonology, and neurology
