Assured Residential and Consulting, LLC. is Hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Near Terre Haute, IN

Position Summary:

If you want to be a mentor and serve individuals with disabilities passionately with commitment then Assured Residential and Consulting is the place for you.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing residential support services.

  • Primary Responsibilities:

Directs personal assistance with daily living activities such as grooming, eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene Assists with meal planning and preparation and housekeeping

Reading, writing, and carrying out directions

Charting or taking notes for others to review

Providing companionship and supportive listening

Reporting changes in the health or status of the client Secures and provides transportation

Reinforces counseling and therapy activities

Administering medication

Supervises and assures of individuals’ health, safety, and security

Facilitates inclusion in community activities, use of natural supports, social interaction, participation in leisure activities, and development of socially valued behavior

Transporting client to appointments

Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport

Maintains regular attendance and timeliness in duties

Maintains good work and personal ethics in dealing with co-workers and resident consumers

Does not engage in activities other than official business during work hours

Presents a neat, clean appearance; dressed appropriately for the job.

Practices personal hygiene Works when scheduled, beginning and ending work as expected; calls in according to policy; use work time appropriately, records all hours worked as instructed

Reports incidents/injuries in a timely manner Responding to emergency situations

Cooperates in internal/external investigations

Maintains confidentiality of company and consumer information

Ensures documentation of behaviors, incidents and injuries, program data collection, medication data, and progress notes are completed accurately and in a timely manner

Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Accepts direction and feedback from supervisors and follows through appropriately

  • Qualifications and Education

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Indiana driver’s license

Valid automobile insurance

Able to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English.

Job Type: Part-time and Full-time

Available shifts: M, T, & F 4p-12a; M-F 12a-8a; Sat & Sun 8a-4p; M, T, & W 4p-12a

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
