Individuals will work directly with the program participants. Providing supports during their daily routine to include, but not be limited to: assistance with activities; personal care; feeding; health & well-being. Also providing oversight to ensure safety of the participants.

NCAA Guidelines

All employees and staff of ISU are bound by all NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to intercollegiate athletics and must conduct themselves in accordance therewith. No ISU employee (whether paid or a volunteer) shall knowingly influence others to furnish the NCAA or an ISU investigator/compliance officer false or misleading information concerning an individual’s involvement in or knowledge of matters relevant to a possible violation of an NCAA regulation. Failure to abide by this term of employment shall constitute unethical conduct as defined by the NCAA and may result in immediate suspension and/or termination of the employment relationship with ISU.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the safety and well-being of every individual enrolled in the Adult Day Care program;
  • Assist participants, utilizing physical and/or verbal prompts, dependent upon abilities and capabilities, with hygiene, meals, daily living skills, etc.;
– Ensure that the rights and responsibilities of all participants are being strictly adhered to;
  • Maintain and comply with all HIPPA guidelines and Happiness Bag, Inc. policies and procedures regarding privacy and confidentiality;
  • Work with and support the employees leading activities to ensure that the participants are as active and involved as they possibly can be in the activity;
  • Provide daily documentation, goal tracking, general notes, etc. in assigned participant files and participant “travel” journals;
  • Assist in the proper and (age) appropriate implementation of the Agency behavior modification program, as well as follow the plans established by the participant’s individual Behavior Management Specialist, when applicable.
Assist with summer camp activities including field trips and other various tasks. Supervise children from ages K-5th grade.
Must be willing to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
