Direct Support Professional

Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific instructions from supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving individuals to appointments or activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and any changes in individual's condition or behavior
- Promote independence and socialization by engaging individuals in recreational activities and community outings

Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to provide first aid and respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Experience in social work or related field is a plus
- Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility needs
- Familiarity with childcare practices is beneficial

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
