Association of Former Students of Texas A & M Univ is Hiring a Development Student Assistant Near College Station, TX

Description

Performs responsible and confidential administrative duties for the Director of Development and Manager of Development.

DUTIES

Essential Functions: Performs duties in support of the Director of Development and Manager of Development.

  • Assists with all aspects of development as appropriate.
  • Files and scans proposals and gift agreements.
  • Prepares recognition pieces for Endowed Century Club and Aggie Ring Scholarship donors.
  • Maintains Endowed Century Club and Aggie Ring Scholarship database checklists.
  • Maintains Endowed Century Club inventory.
  • Completes data entry projects as necessary.
  • Answers and screens calls, and makes appointments as needed and when available.
  • Assists with preparations for board meetings, prospective donor visits, vouchers and other forms.
  • Assists with donor recognition and events.
  • Assists with welcoming guests at all pre-game events during football season.
  • Provides strong customer service, organizational skills, and discretion.
  • Coordinates attendance of potential donors and donors at Association and Texas A&M University events.
  • Provides office support for special events as needed, including luncheons, Board committee meetings, and miscellaneous meetings and events.

Participates in and provides input on various Association-wide activities:

  • Actively contributes toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
  • Provides on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
  • Participates on internal event teams and task committees.
  • Participates in Association events, including but not limited to Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, Reunions, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Pass It Back Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, and All-Aggie Hullabaloo, as needed.

Serves as an ambassador for The Association:

  • Meets our Team Expectations.
  • Supports The Association’s marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
  • Fosters relationships with students, former students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M. 
  • Attends external events on behalf of The Association, as directed.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required: Strong attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to work on a team. Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism. Ability to operate a keyboard. Frequent use of a computer. Able to lift 30 pounds. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle.

EDUCATION

Required: High School graduate. 

Preferred: Current student at Texas A&M University pursuing Bachelor’s degree.
