Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account analysis, financial services, and customer service.

Duties:

• Post office and surgical charges
• Post insurance and patient personal payments
• Bill insurance companies and patients
• Follow-up on unpaid insurance claims
• Follow-up on unpaid patient statements
• Receive and respond to billing calls

Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

• Account analysis
• Debits and Credit Knowledge
• Customer service orientation
• Strong phone etiquette
• Technical accounting skills
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes
• Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
• Experience with AdvancedMD software is a plus
• 3 years experience in medical billing (ophthalmology a plus)
