Job Purpose: As Patient Accounts Representativeat Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions regarding the department.

Job Functions

  • Acting as the liaison between the client, client's family, insurance company, utilization review and other staff when necessary.
  • Verifying insurance.
  • Handling self-pay client accounts.
  • Accurately preparing Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care and third-party billing on a weekly bases.
  • Handling unpaid claims and performing cash application functions.
  • Communicating effectively by utilizing the necessary technology.
  • Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in Healthcare Insurance/Billing field or AA degree with one year experience in Patient Accounts, Inpatient Clerk, or similar medical billing background.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification, collections and medical terminology.
  • Medical Insurance Billing software experience preferred.
