Large multi-state road contractor has a current, temporary opening for an Accounts Payable clerk. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated individual with construction experience. This position is responsible for all of the duties of Accounts Payable. Must have the ability to keep accurate and organized records, both as a hard copy and electronic file. Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures preferred
• Knowledge of and /or proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Proficiency in data entry and data management
• Knowledge of Sage (Peachtree) software preferred
• Must be organized and able to prioritize
• Must possess good communication skills to maintain business reputation with vendors, customers, etc.
• Must work well with others
• Ability to meet deadlines!!
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to take direction from management

Job Duties include but not limited to:

Accounts Payable

• Receiving of invoices on a daily basis
• Matching field tickets and bill of ladings to invoices
• Entry of invoices into system
• Sending invoices out for approvals and tracking them
• Scanning and emailing invoices to field personnel for approval
• Preparation of vendor accounts analyses
• Reconciliation of monthly statements
• Reconciling accounts payable transactions
• Maintaining and organizing vendor files
• Correspondence with vendors and immediate response to their inquiries
• Preparing aging reports and gathering information for office manager to prepare check runs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
