The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned communications professional to join our team as Sr. Manager, Internal Communications, supporting employee communications for our Aspen Dental clinical teams across more than 1,100 independently owned Aspen Dental offices. This role will be critical in empowering clinical team members to thrive in their roles and feel connected to the broader culture and purpose of the organization by delivering timely, relevant, compelling, and easily accessible communication.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, measure, and refine innovative communications programs that inform, engage, and inspire our Aspen Dental clinical team members.
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships with clinical team, gaining deep insight into team structure, dynamics, norms, and needs to develop, gain buy in, and implement effective communication strategies and tactics.
  • Partner with Aspen field internal communications lead to optimize efforts, ensure alignment, and maximize potential impact of communications programs.
  • Supported by the Director of internal communications, serve as the voice of clinical team leaders, including the Chief Clinical Officer.
  • Assist with managing key clinical team events and meetings that drive engagement and facilitate employee connection to our goals and mission.
  • Proactively plan content, tracking all activity in team-wide internal communications calendar.
  • Ongoing collection and assessment of metrics to track performance and course correct as needed.
  • Employ a thoughtful, multi-channel approach to effectively communicate messages across internal platforms, including meetings, intranet, video, emails, blogs, digital channels, presentations, and other emerging technologies.
  • With the guidance and support of the Director of internal communications, partner and collaborate with PR, social media, and the broader marketing team as needed to align internal messaging with TAG external communications strategy and brand standards.
  • Serve as an advisor on company culture, values, and reputation.

Experience & Skills

  • 7 years of experience, preferably including large, matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Advanced degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully creating and delivering strategic communication programs aligned with business goals that deliver results and make an impact.
  • Previous experience working alongside senior leaders, providing trusted counsel, and positively influencing decision-making within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience helping leaders and organizations define and develop messages that are clear, concise, creative, and persuasive.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • A desire to learn, create, and solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
  • A commitment to change management, ensuring communications strategies and plans reflect a deep understanding of the impact of change on adoption and engagement. 
  • Expert oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in leveraging technology to effectively communicate with a distributed workforce.
  • Experience with strategically leveraging metrics to advance programs and employing a data-driven approach.
  • Intranet, blog, or website management experience a plus.
  • Graphic design and video editing skills a plus.
  • Experience working in large, complex, fast-paced organizations a plus.
  • Experience working in healthcare, allied health field a plus.

Salary: $135-145k with bonus opportunity
