The company has five divisions each with its own Vice President and many consultants who have direct nonprofit expertise: Capital Campaigns, Fundraising Solutions/Grants, Strategic Planning/Partnerships and Collaborations, Talent & Leadership, and Marketing & Communications. There is also a VP for Lexington & Central Kentucky Market.

We are currently seeking a full-time Vice President of Fundraising Solutions & Grants who will provide vision and dynamic leadership to carry out the mission of Ashley|Rountree and lead the division and its team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

For more than two decades, Ashley|Rountree has built its business around fund development and campaign planning, both areas that are foundational to our burgeoning business. In recent years, Ashley|Rountree expanded into other areas of nonprofit expertise, broadening our scope of business. Still, the root of a nonprofit lies in its strengths of its development process and that remains the heart of our business.

The VP of Fundraising Solutions & Grants will lead all consulting projects that assist clients with their needs in comprehensive Fund Development Plans (Including Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving), Governance, Database Management, Special Events, Grant Research, Writing, and Administration. The VP and team of consultants advise nonprofit staff and board leaders in the evaluation, planning, and execution of efforts to improve net fundraising results for our nonprofit clients. Areas of focus in the Fundraising Solutions/Grants Division will include offering client counsel in: Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Sponsorships, Staffing, Volunteers, Database, Gift Accounting, Governance, Grant Research and Federal and Private Foundation Grant Writing and Administration. The VP is responsible for recruiting, managing, and mentoring part-time / contractor consultants. The VP works with the President and COO to build and achieve an annual Division budget, goals and outcomes driven by oversight of client relationships, writing proposals, and closing contracts with potential clients. The successful candidate will be one who is entrepreneurial and sales-minded oriented.

Ashley|Rountree has a culture of collaboration and coordination. There may be occasions in which the VP will work with other divisions to deliver proposals or consult on cross-divisional projects.

Division of time between management and consulting is currently estimated at 70/30. As the division grows, management time could increase over consulting time. This full-time position is for forty (40) hours per week.

The Vice President must take initiative and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will lead the division team by assisting with sales lead calls, writing sales lead proposals, closing new business, assigning consultants to projects, overseeing quality control of client work, and communicating with the division team on a regular basis. Ashley|Rountree is committed to sourcing candidates through an equitable lens. The Vice President reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
