42 Week Office Administrator

Position Description: 

Greeting children and adults in a welcoming manner.

Maintaining student information system database.

Maintaining student permanent records such as student enrollment records and transcripts.

Recording daily attendance, communicating with teachers and parents regarding student absence, tardy or dismissal instructions. 

Preparing school and state reports as needed.

Office routines and practices associated with a busy office.

Providing translation of documents as needed for families who do not speak English.

Excellent people skills.

Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.

Ability to effectively carry out oral and written directions.

Requirements:

Professional demeanor, excellent social, organizational and phone skills.

Ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Greet and communicate with children and adults in a hospitable manner.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in an administrative assistant position.

Proficiency in working with Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel,

PowerPoint) and Google Documents.

Ability to speak another language preferred but not required, preferably Portuguese or Spanish.
