YOUR FOCUS

This position normally works from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

As our Information System Security Officer, you help improve the cybersecurity systems within the DoD. Collaborating with other information security personnel, you develop and execute a formal systems security program in accordance with DoD 8510.01 and AFI 17-101. You help develop, test, and implement information system controls and policies, ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of all assigned systems.

Your responsibilities include auditing the system, performing risk assessments, configuring hardware and software, and investigating cybersecurity incidents as well as developing documentation for authorizations, security management, and monitoring of systems. You validate cybersecurity controls, author system security plans (SSPs), maintain the Authority to Operate (ATO), and help plan future security domains.

REQUIREMENTS

These are the minimum criteria to be considered:

  • Active secret clearance or ability to immediately obtain an interim clearance
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level-II certification
  • Experience with DoD RMF, eMASS, ACAS, SCC, and DISA STIGs/SRGs
  • Experience with standard security and network environment tools and applications
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing concepts
  • Knowledge of other security disciplines and their impact
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills

Our ideal candidate also meets at least one of these criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a relevant discipline with 5 years of professional experience
  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment would be preferred.
