Kratos is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer 3 who will be assisting with the compliance of classified government contracts and systems. The selected individual will be responsible for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation and associated Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages for assigned systems. The selected individual will report to the Information Security Senior Manager and perform all tasks assigned to them.

Risk Management Framework (RMF) Packages:

  • Generate and maintain RMF package artifacts and documents to maintain or achieve authorizations to operate
  • Author and review policy documentation for government-accredited systems
  • Coordinate with ISSM and Security personnel for hardware and media transfer documentation
  • Perform annual or quarterly reviews, as applicable, of all RMF artifacts
  • Document and review/approve all user accounts for assigned systems
  • Identify and track all ports, protocols, and services in use within assigned systems
  • Document any hardware destruction
  • Act as expert and custodian of all organizational security policies
  • Experience applying NIST 800-53 controls to classified and unclassified government systems

Continuous Monitoring:

  • Utilize existing security tools for compliance and vulnerability scanning
  • Provide recommendations for remediation to ISSM and system administrators
  • Review and analyze audit records for all assigned systems
  • Report suspected or confirmed system incidents to appropriate personnel
Experience and Skills:
  • Certification level to meet DOD Directive 8570.01-M IAM II requirements (Security or equivalent)
  • ISSO or System Administrator experience in a TS/SCI environment supporting a government customer
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scans and interpreting results
  • NIST 800-171 experience
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Knowledgeable on Microsoft Office software
  • Must have active security clearance (within 5 years of last investigation)
  • 2 years of ISSO experience in a TS/SCI environment supporting a government customer or 7 years as System Administrator/Cyber Support to classified systems
  • Must be willing and able to be SAP briefed
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scans and interpreting results

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • TS/SCI candidates willing to consent to CI polygraph

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $94,000-$135,000
