Mission:
Quantum Research International is seeking a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support our Force Tracking – Mission Management Center (FT – MMC) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
As an ISSE, the ideal candidate will seek to develop innovative solutions to enable secure and reliable operations across multiple architectures and Government Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operate as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) installing, configuring, and maintaining cyber tools sets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains.
- Coordinate with internal/external customers to understand requirements and build security policies that allow for least privilege access.
- Develop, implement, and document policies for Endpoint Threat Response, Endpoint Firewalls, Host-based Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Data Loss Prevention, File and Removable Media Protection
- Troubleshoot website rendering issues for traffic that is running through a web proxy.
- Work with external supply chain and services providers to evaluate integration of products and services with
- Demonstrated ability to document equipment and software configurations, as well as processes and procedures.
- Work with system/network administrators to conduct vulnerability scanning using latest DoD security tools (Nessus Security Center)
- Collaborate with network administrators to develop and maintain DISA compliant Ports Protocols Services Management (PPSM) data for all systems assigned.
- Collaborate with configurations management to maintain authorized hardware/software lists across enclaves.
- Work as an integrated team member in a highly dynamic, operationally sensitive environment providing mission critical data to the war fighter.
- Analyze security risks, threats and vulnerabilities from multiple sources and recommend strategies to leadership to prevent security exposures and detect intruders.
- Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) / review board processes for stakeholders, including planning, minutes, and actions.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Candidates are required to have an active Top-Secret Clearance with eligibility of SCI clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
- DISA Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) Administrator 201/301 ePO 5.10 training
- 8-12 years of experience as an ISSE
- Excellent spoken and written communications skills.
- Ability to perform multiple projects with dynamic tasking and follow-through from beginning to end on assigned tasks.
- Ability to work as an integrated member of a dynamic and mission focused team to promote a cooperative working environment and a positive team atmosphere.
- Working knowledge of cyber doctrine and DoD Cybersecurity best practices
- Working knowledge of network protocols and traffic flow
- Ability to work in a MS Windows, RHEL and Amazon Web Services (AWS) virtualized environment.
- The ability to think analytically and approach issues logically and systematically.
- Travel: 10 %

Education Requirements:
- Education: AAS/BA/BS (additional years of experience in lieu of degree).
- CompTIA Security CE or DOD 8570.01-M IAT II certification.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Security Content Automation Program (SCAP)/Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
- Master’s Degree in a disciplined engineering study.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CASP, C|EH, CHFI.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Travel is occasional (1-2 times per year).

SALARY RANGE
$135,000.00 - $150,000.00
