Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in consolidating our data management efforts, bridging the gap between technical and business teams, and enhancing our decision-making processes through insightful reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
• Design and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract and manipulate data from various databases, including our data warehouse and legacy ERP system (Dynamics AX).
• Perform data mapping and analysis to ensure accurate and efficient data integration between different systems and databases.
• Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, effectively communicating requirements, providing technical guidance, and facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Document business processes, data models, and technical specifications to ensure clear understanding and maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
• Collaborate with the existing contractor, who serves as a critical resource, to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities and knowledge sharing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and data quality enhancement, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI, T-SQL, and data analytics to continuously improve our reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL programming and query optimization.
• Experience working with data warehouse systems and legacy ERP systems (preferably Dynamics AX).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with documentation, data mapping, and knowledge transfer processes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
