LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a Senior Litigation Paralegal or CA-licensed Attorney to join our client's well-known global firm and assist with project management and trial direction for a civil litigation practice group. This full-time W2 contractor role provides litigation leadership support to a partner group and its associates to manage a case as it approaches and during an anticipated trial.
Demonstrated expertise in trial preparation and attendance related to large-scale insurance recovery, commercial litigation, civil defense, or multi-party is required.
While most of this role is fully remote/WFH, onsite work is required in the firm's Downtown Los Angeles office. The length of this project/assignment is expected to run through the end of the year and may extend longer. You will maintain a full-time schedule during regular business hours and should expect to work occasional overtime when necessary.
You should have a self-starter, assertive, and highly organized project management mentality and understand the complexities and adaptability required for trial preparation \u2013 no job is too big, no job is too small, an all-hands-on-deck and fast-paced approach!
Pay Rate: $45-$60, DOE
Responsibilities: - Complete and summarize deposition transcripts; thoroughly understand depositions and the deposition process.
- Handle discovery-related tasks and oversee discovery technologies.
- Project management - the facilitation and supervision of a civil litigation case.
- Ensure the trial team and attorneys complete deadline-driven tasks and meet competing priorities efficiently, thoroughly, and effectively.
Requirements: - 5 years of US civil litigation trial experience working in a mid-size to large AM law firm.
- Expert proficiency with legal technologies \u2013 people depend on your tech savviness, Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint), tracking and billing for your time, eDiscovery tools, CRM, etc.
- Project Management leadership (PMP/CAPM/Agile certification is ideal, but not required.)
- You are an assertive and detailed team player with an ownership mentality.
- Organized and Deadline Driven is your middle name (yes, you have two middle names.)
- BA, JD, or a Paralegal Certificate with 7 years of demonstrated experience.
- Must be available to start immediately upon hire, clearing the firm's conflicts process and background screening.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour
