Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager assumes a pivotal role in overseeing maintenance operations across the entire plant within a heavy manufacturing, unionized setting. This individual will be responsible for providing leadership for all maintenance functions, scheduling, planning, and ensuring effective completion/documentation of proactive, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities on all the plant’s significant equipment assets, minimizing equipment downtime to provide maximum production capacity.
Essential Functions:
· Oversee all maintenance, preventative maintenance, and equipment repairs for all Artcobell facilities
· Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic components and system
· Sound math and problem-solving skills; including ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
· Sense of priority combined with ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks
· Installing various types of project/machine and enhancements
· Designing and completing minor construction projects as needed
· Continuously improving manufacturing processes in terms of quality and performance measurements, and identifying and eliminating bottleneck areas
· Seek to ensure reliability of plant and equipment operation while optimizing maintenance and operation costs and satisfying all safety, environmental etc. regulations in the process
· Identify and solve safety concerns encountered during design and study of manufacturing processes
· Coordinate the installation of new equipment to maximize production efficiency and maintainability
· Work with production to make modifications to equipment and work areas for maximum efficiency of operation
· Maintain a knowledge base in the capacity of existing utilities and the current level of utilization
· Stay abreast of the latest safety and other regulations which affect the facility to ensure compliance
· Oversee the maintenance of the equipment and the facility to ensure the company receives maximum utilization of its assets
· Ensure that systems are in place & followed to maintain reliability of the equipment & processes
· Develops, reviews, evaluates, counsels, disciplines and discharges employees as necessary to ensure department meets or exceeds productivity requirements
Requirements:
· Associate degree or 10 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing environment with a mechanical/electrical background required
· Knowledge of production methods, industrial processes, and equipment
· Effective leadership and communication skills
· Strong organizational and analytical abilities with strategic business orientation
· Proficiency in PC and related software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
· QAD knowledge is a plus
Work Environment:
· Frequent presence in a production manufacturing environment with potential exposure to weather extremes, varying temperatures, and high noise levels.
· Position requires frequent standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, and other movements

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
